A Word From the President
At this week's G8 Summit in Scotland, when asked about giving aid and cancelling debt, President Bush spoke of his willingness, but stated he first wants assurances that the money will be well spent. Bush said,I don't know how we can look our taxpayers in the eye and say, this is a good deal to give money to countries that are corrupt.Full story here
Maybe we don't give to corrupt countries, but...
Can you say Halliburton?
Can you say Tom Delay?
okay and countries too...
Can you say Iraq?
And now a word from Bush's Savior (No, not Karl Rove)
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. (Luke 6:41-42 NIV)
